Albatross- Niall McCormick 2011
I looked at this film due to the fact it has a female protagonist which as a female director I would be very interested in using. It also has a lot of qualities that I would be interested in using. For example, it is a British film with a very modest budget which is what my film would have to be, it is also set in a seaside town which it where I would like to base mine for the simple fact that I live in one so it would be a lot easier to use my hometown that to travel elsewhere to get some shots if I need to gain a few more shots- It would cost far too much in train fares/ Petrol money.
Albatross focuses on the representation of youth, in particular girls. This as a young female I can relate to a lot more than a very male dominated action film, so creating a film that I can relate to a lot more than a film that i'd create just to gain a wider audience would be a lot easier for me and I'd know exactly who my target audience was and how to get them to come and view my film.
